ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The PLAET Scholarship & Grant programme is offered through Foundation Barossa, and provides funding of between $500 and $5,000 to individuals or organisations based in the Barossa region for projects that fit into one or more of the designated categories for activities that may include:
- Professional education initiatives including individual professional development
- Research projects
- Arts projects that preserve and promote the heritage of the Barossa through the development of skills
- Creation and presentation of new artwork in any medium including visual arts, music, theatre, digital and literature
- Audience development initiatives that result in improved access to arts and cultural activities for local residents and visitors to the region
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The PLAET program this year includes a category for ‘The Barossa Hill & Son Organ’. This category is designed to support organ based activities in the Barossa region; this may include scholarships, playing, composing, contemporary artist recording, maintenance, showcasing the instrument, and audience development. Applications for any activities or projects that will contribute to making the organ an ongoing and vibrant part of Barossa cultural life are welcome.
We are very excited about this new category, as it offers a unique opportunity for the promotion of the Hill & Son across the Barossa and beyond, as well as the development of new programs to increase awareness and appreciation of organ music.
Full details about the program, as well as the application form, can be found on the Foundation Barossa website.
